The New Old World

“The New Old World: Antilles—Living Beyond the Myth,” a documentation of the contemporary lives of Taino and Carib indigenous peoples of the Caribbean, returns to the National Museum of the American Indian in Lower Manhattan. The exhibition, which includes 82 photographs by Marisol Villanueva and statements from the Native people of the region, will continue at the Museum through January 2011.

“The New Old World: Antilles—Living Beyond the Myth” exhibition first opened at the at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in 2003, and was brought back for a second run in 2007, and now in 2010 for a third time.
