What a pleasure to support ICP and spend lunchtime with Carrie Mae Weems!

From ICP’s website:

ICP Spotlights is an annual luncheon honoring women seminal in visual arts, using photography or film. This year, ICP presented the Spotlights Award to American artist Carrie Mae Weems. Weems incorporates photographs, text, fabric, audio, and video in her work, which tackles themes including families, gender, identity, and politics. Weems was in conversation with Isolde Brielmaier, Director of the Art Initiative at Westfield World Trade Center and an adjunct professor in the Department of Photography and Imaging at new York University.
