Charlie officially founded Griffin Editions in 1996 but was involved in the New York photographic community for years before.  While working as a fashion photographer and painter, Charlie began printing and he became interested in making oversized prints of his own work. Soon after, he moved into a downtown Manhattan loft and started Griffin Editions.

David Jimenez

David has been working in photography for many years and has been with Griffin Editions even before it was Griffin Editions. He has worn almost every hat at the studio and now keeps us running like a top, works closely with clients and develops new strategies in digital printing and beyond.

Dennis Yermoshin

Dennis Yermoshin

Originally from Azerbaijan, Dennis spent the majority of his life in Providence, RI. He studied photography and graphic design at UMASS Dartmouth. He moved to NYC in 2010 and joined Griffin Editions in 2011. He currently runs mounting production. When not working at Griffin, he is a freelance photographer, his work can be viewed at yermoshin.com.

Didier Bahamon

Didier Bahamon

Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia, Didier earned his masters degree in fine arts back in 2001 and  moved to New York in 2003. He brings his keen eye and passion for photography to Griffin Editions.  Along with the Griffin team, he was a key member in refining the digital silver gelatin printing process (LE Prints). Nowadays, he runs the operations in the digital printing department.

Eli Keneally

Eli Keneally

Gentleman and a scholar. Eli is originally from Stratford, Connecticut and graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in photography. Although he has held many titles here at Griffin Editions he currently works as a printer in our Silver Department, where he not only prints gelatin silver prints but also develops the majority of the film as well. Eli lives in Brooklyn where he continues to practice photography as well ride his bicycle and be genuinely awe inspiring.

Emily Peters

Emily Peters

Emily is a Staten Island native, Photographer, and hair cut chameleon who began interning at Griffin Editions in 2013. Currently, she works closely with all digital and post-print departments as the Studio Coordinator of our Brooklyn location.

MWM, 6’2″, Capricorn, enjoys bike riding, Mexican food, photography and weather.

Fumiyo Okamori

Fumiyo Okamori

After moving to New York Fumiyo studied art of movement and photography.  When she’s not expertly finishing the prints at Griffin Editions she is at the park with her Boston Terrier, Blaze, swimming or practicing Tai Chi.

Himari Sugatani

Himari Sugatani

Himari has worked in Griffin Editions since 2001, mainly in the finishing process, which includes final condition check, retouching, hot pressing and mounting.  Born in Wakayama, Japan, Himari studied American literature at university in Kyoto.  Since moving to New York she has studied photography at F.I.T. and I.C. P.  Himari loves traveling and special places for her are Iceland and Patagonia.  Her work can be viewed here.

Joanna, originally from Portland, Maine, came to New York to attend New York University. After graduating with a BFA in Studio Art, Joanna spent a year working as an assistant to Ryan McGinley, which led her to her new home here at Griffin Editions. Do you like Beyonce? A lot? So does Joanna.

Junko Sakuno

Junko Sakuno

Junko joined Griffin Editions in 2004 after graduating from Hunter College with a degree in art history and now leads the production team.  (We don’t know what we’d do without her!)  When Junko is not making the trains run on time at Griffin Editions she is traveling, eating sushi or enjoying Japanese TV.

Kevin McCarthy

Kevin McCarthy

Kevin came to New York after receiving a BA in art from the College of Creative Studies at UC Santa Barbara. He has also studied art in Mexico, Ghana, and Hong Kong. He works with the finishing department at Griffin Editions and is an active member of an artist collective in the Lower East Side.

Laurent Girard

Laurent Girard

Laurent has been printing black and white silver gelatin prints since he was 12.  He owned Lexington Labs in New York for 12 years, and joined griffin editions in 2008.  Laurent writes a blog “‘a printer’s life” about his experiences as a master printer for over 20 years.  His work can be viewed at laurentgirard.com.

Michael Wood

Michael Wood

Mike began silver-gelatin printing in high school in his home town of Saratoga Springs, NY in the late 1980′s. He studied photography and fine arts at Buffalo State College. Mike has served Griffin Editions for nearly ten years as a silver printer, and is a fifteen-year resident of NYC. While embracing digital photographic alternatives, Mike remains enthusiastically committed to traditional analog techniques in the realm of Black & White printing, toning, and film.

Orianna Riley

Orianna Riley

Orianna has been working in the photographic printing world for over 18 years.  She continues her love affair with the photographic print working as the Director at Griffin Editions.  Her personal work can be viewed at orianna-riley.com.
